Happy holidays, my loves! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to a happy New Year.

First, take a peep at this beautiful chocolate bark I made! It's white chocolate with candy canes, sprinkles, M&M's, and pretzels! I'm so festive, I know!

Today, as we sip our tea, I will be sharing a story with you.

Our story dates to four years ago when I first found out that Old Navy has 50% off activewear sales. Leggings galore lemme tell ya. After this activewear haul, where I filled my wardrobe with colorful stretchy clothing, my inbox began flooding with Old Navy coupons and sale alerts. If you’re anything like me, you ignore your inbox until there are about 2,000 emails to sort through, most of which are junk so you delete them all and pray you didn’t accidentally delete something important. It wasn’t until the beginning of college that I started noticing the emails that mentioned that Old Navy has phenomenal steals beyond half off activewear. My inner fangirl went wild and I started accumulating more and more clothing. Cute sundresses. Blouses. More activewear. Jeans. Flats. I bought them all.

By now, my Old Navy obsession has turned into an addiction. Everyone knows most of my wardrobe consists of my finds from Old Navy. Did I mention I love Old Navy? This past Black Friday, I saw the entire store was 50% off. EVERYTHING. And the fuzzy socks were only a dollar?!?!? Who cares about how my bank account was feeling. I wanted an Old Navy makeover. And I justified this need to shop by telling myself that I should purchase some new clothes so I look great while I’m working at Disney.

At this point in the story, you’re probably wondering “Camryn, what on earth does your love for looking gorgeous all the time by wearing Old Navy have to do with anything?”. Don’t worry, my friends, I’m getting there.

Because of my obsession, I attracted Old Navy purchases into my life like you wouldn’t believe. For Christmas, Will purchased an entire outfit for me from Old Navy. Shoes and everything!! It looks so cute and I feel fabulous when I wear my new sweater. He also purchased everyone in my family a pair of Old Navy fuzzy socks. My mom also bought me clothing from Old Navy for Christmas! And she gifted some for my sister! And my dad! And herself! There are Old Navy bags all over the house! But there’s more… Will called me and told me he purchased a whole bunch of Old Navy purchases for his coworkers for their holiday party. I CAUSED OLD NAVY TO FOLLOW ME EVERYWHERE. EVERYWHERE. EVERYWHERE!!!!

Isn’t that crazy? Because I’m always wearing Old Navy and talking about Old Navy in any clothing conversation with friends or searching on the Old Navy website or making Old Navy purchases, I attracted even more Old Navy into my life and influenced the people around me to do it too.

What if we were this obsessive about other things in our lives? What if we applied this same energy to achieving our goals or loving ourselves or attracting more money or getting that job we want? What if we applied this energy to manifest more joy into our lives? Could you imagine how our lives would change if we obsessed with all the right things?

We should talk about our goals with each other more. We should make our hopes and dreams the screensavers on our phone. We should have post its everywhere with words that motivate us. We should be setting reminders on our phone about how grateful we should be to be living the life we have. By intentionally shifting our energy to focus on what we want, we can attract more of it.

I only know the basics of the Law of Attraction, but this story right here is an example of how powerful that law is. I brought more Old Navy into my life. This story is a reminder to you and me that we’re capable of attracting everything we need and want from our lives. By directing our energy, we can change the course of our lives.

Although I’m talking about obsessive energy, I would like to point out that this should be expressed in a healthy way. If you’re constantly thinking about this thing that you want more of but think about it so often that it begins to negatively impact the way you live your day to day life, you should probably tone it down. The point is to bring your goals into your mind and believe you can achieve them, that way you bring more opportunities to you. Bring on the good vibes.

The Law of Attraction also rings true for negative thoughts. Think of the stories you tell yourself all the time. Maybe you say I’m always late or I can't make money. Are these things really true? Your reality says they’re true, but only because you believe these things. Catch yourself in these lies and the negative self-talk you keep giving yourself. Once you’ve found your lie, change it to the truth you want to attract. Don’t focus on what you don’t want, focus on what you do want. YOU CAN CREATE YOUR REALITY AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!

There’s so much to explore when it comes to the law of attraction, but I hope this post served you well. It’s possible that you just find it amusing that I’ve surrounded myself with Old Navy, or maybe you see the value of the lesson I learned. Whatever you’ve taken from this post, whether it be laugher or motivation, I hope it brought a sparkle into your day! I always enjoy sipping on a cup of tea while talking to all of you beautiful readers.

Happy Holidays!

Lots of love,

Camryn
